How to Unmute the Laptop Microphone on PC's

Purpose: How to check if the microphone is muted on a laptop and unmute it so that recordings can be made. (This does not work with ChromeBooks)

Method:

1. Type Control Panel in the bottom Search bar

2. Click on Sound

3. Choose Recording from the top tabs

4. Click on the active microphone (the one with the green checkmark)

5. Click on Properties at the bottom right of the pop out window

6. Choose Levels from the top tab

7. Unmute the microphone by clicking on the speaker icon.

8. Click on OK at the bottom of the pop out window

The sounds should now playback when the recording is done.
